The social media craze of SnapChat is a gruesome representation of our society as a whole. Young adults and teens are so irresponsible and malleable that ways to protect them from shoddy decision making online are becoming frequent and numerous at a breakneck pace. This kind of technology is only going to enable deplorable social issues and continue grim childhood development. The one good thing about such an app is privacy, where many sites such as Facebook and Instagram have taken slack for being too transparent; it is refreshing to have an app that protects its users. Still, is it worth it to fix a privacy problem if the fix is detrimental to society?
